D. J. Mishelevich, M.D., PhD

David Mishelevich, M.D., Ph.D. received an M.D. and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University and, at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, was Professor and Chair of the first Department of Medical Computer Science in the U.S. (University of Texas Health Science Center at Dallas Southwestern Medical School. At Sparton/Aubrey Group, contract medical device development/manufacturing firm, he was VP of Engineering and Chief Medical Officer. Dr. Mishelevich has been a team member in a number of startups including being a founder of NeoStim (over $25M invested prior to its unfortunate demise). During the initial development of NeoStim’s stereo Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (sTMS) IP, he was Consulting Professor of Neurosurgery at Stanford. He is an inventor on 47 granted patents with 18 in deep-brain neuromodulation (sTMS, optogenetics, ultrasound). He works with the CEO on multiple aspects of U operations and serves on the Board of Directors at U.
